ADC to pay $9.7m insurance compensation


If the management of ADC Airlines plays strictly by the rules of the world aviation body, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), then each family of the persons that died in the Sunday air crash in Abuja is to get $100,000 (N12.4M) as insurance compensation.

If the management of ADC Airlines plays strictly by the rules of the world aviation body, the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), then each family of the persons that died in the Sunday air crash in Abuja is to get $100,000 (N12.4M) as insurance compensation.

So far, five persons have survived the accident out of the 105 people on board of the flight. The compensation will come after the airline concludes investigations to ascertain the true next of kin of the deceased and do all legal paper works before payments will be made.

The investigations will also unearth whether anyone travelled on another person's ticket. Such a move have since been banned by ICAO.
Fortunately, the insurance cover, Daily Sun learnt, is up to date, an indication that payment may not be too difficult a task
