Operatives of the State Security Services (SSS) late Tuesday night released Feyisetan, wife of the embattled Governor of Ekiti State, Ayo Fayose, who was arrested earlier same day in Ibadan.
Daily Sun learnt that Mrs Fayose, who was whisked away from a church in Imalefalafia area in Ibadan was detained at SSS headquarters in Ibadan. Operatives of SSS were said to have sought her to assist in locating her husband, who went into hiding following his impeachment by the state House of Assembly on Monday.
Sources said that after being interrogated, Mrs Fayose was released at about 10.00p.m after she denied knowledge of the impeached governor's whereabouts.
Mrs Fayose's brother, Mr Popoola Makinde, confirmed the development, saying the security officers brought her back to the "Mission House," where she was having a spiritual retreat over the Ekiti crisis.
Before then, the family had expressed fears on the woman's safety and whereabouts as officers at the SSS secretariat and Iyaganku Central Police Station denied that she was with them, after she was whisked away from the church.
