It was gathered that the governor's wife, who the husband had told Daily Sun in an earlier interview was having spiritual retreat in a church over the Ekiti crisis, was arrested between 2 and 3p.m and taken to an unknown destination.
Sources said suspected plain clothes security operatives, numbering eight stormed the 'Mission House" in a white Peugeot pick-up and another yellow car.
Confirming the arrest last night, Mrs Fayose's brother, Mr Popoola Makinde told Daily Sun that the family had been trying to locate her whereabouts since the arrest but to no avail.
'We don't know her whereabouts. And we fear for her safety. We have gone to the police at Iyaganku and Eleyele and they said she's not with them. We have also been to the SSS headquarters and they denied arresting her. Everybody is saying she's not with them. Something is fishy. We want the authorities to release her or explain why she was whisked away," Makinde said.
