A middle-aged man, Tunde Araoye caused a stir at the ongoing national political reforms conference on Tuesday as he arrived the venue naked. Araoye alighted from a white jeep at about 1:30p.m when delegates were having lunch.
A middle-aged man, Tunde Araoye caused a stir at the ongoing national political reforms conference on Tuesday as he arrived the venue naked. Araoye alighted from a white jeep at about 1:30p.m when delegates were having lunch.
He was initially unnoticed until when he opened his fanciful suitcase and started distributing leaflets. His explanation that he was on a mission from Almighty God with a message of redemption to Nigeria attracted a large crowd, including delegates, most of who abandoned their lunch before Araoye was whisked away by anti-riot policemen.
Araoye, who wore only a white pant, said love, integrity, honesty in Nigeria are already in the dustbin, wondering who can pick them up? He said greed, selfishness, and hatred have taken over love and morality in Nigeria. To avert God's wrath, he canvassed that all hands must be on deck to reverse the trend.
On his mode of dressing on only pant, Araoye stated, 'God is using foolishness to bring morality into national focus". The message is the important lasting expectation from the temporary mode of dressing.
