Reigning African Female Footballer of the Year, Perpetua Nkwocha and prolific right winger, Stella Mbachu, will not arrive the Super Falcons camp until October 16, Daily Sunsport can authoritatively report.

Falcons head coach, Chief Ntiero Effiom Ntiero, had given Wednesday as deadline for all invited foreign-based professionals to report to the Kwale Camp of the team, or forget about making the squad that would represent the country at the 5th African Women's Championship (AWC) tagged ‘Warri 2006.'

But Mbachu, in a telephone chat last week from her base in China, ruled out the possibility of her and her teammate, Nkwocha, arriving the country before Coach Ntiero's deadline due to club engagements.

"I and Perpetua have already explained our flight back to Nigeria for between October 15, the same day that our league here will end. We are in the crucial stage of our league here and our presence are badly needed for the remaining fixtures. Besides, it will be difficult to begin fresh flight arrangements to Nigeria because of the irregular flight schedule from here," Mbachu explained.

"We have explained the situation to Coach Ntiero and have maintained regular contacts with him. All things being equal, we hope to arrive Nigeria by October 16, to join the rest of the players in camp," the speedy right winger added.

The former Pelican Stars of Calabar player, who has played in three edition of the AWC exuded confidence ahead of the forthcoming tournament, assuring that the Super Falcons will retain their crown in Warri.

"I and Perpetua are in terrific form. I hope the rest of the players are in top form too. Nigerians have nothing to worry abut because we are gong to retain our trophy."
"No shaking," Mbachu assured.
