The police arrested the suspect at about midnight on Saturday while he and others were dropping the corpse on the highway.
A middle-aged man (name withheld), who could not give his fixed address, is now telling the police in Lagos where and how he came about a corpse found in his possession.

Our correspondent learnt that the suspects, driving a Volkswagen Golf car, were sighted by the police from a distance while they parked the car at Obanikoro on Ikorodu Road in Lagos.
The patrolling security men, attached to Somolu division, reportedly sped to meet up with the vehicle, which was already moving away from the spot.
When the policemen got to the spot, they reportedly saw the corpse of a yet-to-be-identified male, which had been dropped off by the men in the Golf car.
The police, it was learnt, arrested one of the suspects, who was reportedly left behind as his colleagues sped off from the scene to escape arrest.
The car, according to a police source, had the registration number ZB 498 KAA and it was painted in Lagos taxi colour.
The policemen were said to have asked the man where he and his fleeing colleagues got the copse from but as he could not give any reasonable response, he was taken to the station for interrogation.
The corpse, it was learnt, was also removed from the spot and deposited at a public mortuary for autopsy.
Spokesman for the Lagos State Police Command, Mr. Olubode Ojajuni, a deputy superintendent of police, confirmed the case to our correspondent on Sunday.
Ojajuni said the suspect had written a statement that could lead to the arrest of his accomplices.
He told our correspondent that the suspect had told the interrogators where and how he and his colleagues came about the corpse.
He, however, refused to give the details on the grounds that it could affect police investigation, which was still going on.
