Embattled founder and Pastor of the Christian Praying Assembly (CPA), Rev. Emeka Ezeugo a.k.a King will now face murder charge before a Lagos High Court.

That was the thrust of the advice of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) just released on the death of a member of the church, Ann Uzor who was allegedly set ablaze by King.
According to the DPP's advice, a copy of which was dispatched to the police, only King was implicated in the alleged murder of Uzor.

Consequently, two other members of the church being tried for the same offence before a Lagos Magistrate Court, sitting in Ebute Metta, Donatus Chiazor and Kelechi Queen have been directed to be released and listed as prosecution witnesses.

Daily Sun investigation revealed that King who has filed a bail application before an Ikeja High Court, will soon be arraigned before the High Court, which has jurisdiction to try the offence of murder.

Already, King who slapped another witness, Vivian Ezeocha in the open court last week, will face trial today over the alleged assault before Magistrate Iyabo Akinkugbe of Ebute-Metta Magistrate Court.
In his application for bail brought by his counsel, Festus Keyamo, King absolved himself of any wrongdoing while insisting that he was being held unjustly.

Late Uzor was allegedly set ablaze by King on July 22, this year in a fit of anger, after pouring petrol on her.
The petrol with which Uzor was allegedly sprayed was procured by Queen acting on alleged instruction from King.
Late Ann eventually died on July 31, this year following first degree burnt she suffered.
