Our correspondent learnt that the groups, Eiye Confraternity and Bukaneer, clashed at PPL area on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway.

The cause of the bloody clash could not be ascertained as at press time.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Mr. Olubode Ojajuni, a deputy superintendent of police, confirmed the clash to our correspondent on the phone on Sunday.

Ojajuni said that the corpses of the three unidentified victims had been deposited at the mortuary of the General Hospital, Lagos.

The police spokesman said policemen were drafted to the scene of the clash following a distress call from residents of the area.

He said three suspects, all residents of Okokomaiko near LASU, had so far been arrested in connection with the case.

He said the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti Street, Yaba, had taken over the investigation of the case.
