The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two ex-convicts and seven other persons for allegedly taking part in robberies in different parts of the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Joseph Apapa, paraded the suspects at a news conference at the command's headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta on Saturday.
The commissioner also paraded a 58-year-old alleged illegal arms dealer, identified as Yusuf.
Apapa said one of the ex-convicts, Kazeem, and another suspect robbed one Taiwo Lawal of her bag on Elite Road, Abeokuta.
According to him, the suspects also snatched a taxi marked XC 385 AAB on the same road shortly after the robbery.
The police boss also accused the suspects of snatching another car marked XB 635 AKM.
Apapa said they were arrested by a team of Gateway Rapid Response Squad patrolling the area.
He also alleged that another ex-convict, identified as Akeem, was a member of a robbery gang that robbed Pakolas Limited, Ijaye, Abeokuta.
According to him, the suspects, who were armed with pistols and other dangerous weapons, attacked a salesman and robbed him of seven mobile telephones, recharge cards and N55,100.
The hoodlums were chased by a police team in the area after residents had raised the alarm.
Apapa said although other members of the gang escaped, the ex-convict was arrested with their loots.
Also paraded were three men whose ages ranged between 20 and 30 years. They were arrested for allegedly robbing a filling-station at Iperu.
The police boss said the alleged illegal arms dealer was arrested at Illo, Ota, where he was manufacturing and supplying arms to robbery suspects.
The police commissioner said two short guns, eight long guns and seven muzzles were recovered from the suspects.
