President Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday met with Peoples Democratic Party’s governors in the South-West and other stakeholders of the party in the zone.
The meeting, which was held at the President’s farm in Ota, Ogun State, started at 2pm and ended at 5pm.
Dignitaries at the meeting included the Oyo State Governor, Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala; his Ondo State counterpart, Dr.Olusegun Agagu; Governor Olagunsoye Oyinlola of Osun State; and Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayo Fayose.
Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, who represented Obasanjo on Sunday at a function of their alma mater, Baptist Boys’ High School, was absent from the meeting.
Unconfirmed sources said issues discussed at the meeting included the assassination of a gubernatorial aspirant of the party in Lagos, Chief Funsho Williams.
