Christians told to participate in INEC exercise

The 3-day National ministers' conference of Greater Evangelism World Crusade has ended in Abua with a call on ministers to sensitize and mobilize Christians in their respective churches to register with INEC in the forth coming revalidation of voter's cards.

Apostle G.D. Numbere, who made the call at the 64th session of National Ministers Conference in Abua at Ogbema church, enjoined Christians to participate actively in all the political processes to enable them come out massively to vote for the right candidate in the 2007 general elections in the country.

The International Director of Greater Evangelism World Crusade, who is also the chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), South-South zone, said the national ministers conference was aimed at sanitizing the people especially the ministers to be aware of their environment as well as instructing them on what to do socially and politically for the communities.

The South-South zone chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria has Chronicled his spiritual and physical efforts geared towards bringing a lasting peace to Abua Kingdom, adding that he headed the peace and reconciliation committee set up by the Rivers State Government on 26th January, 2001 to broker peace between the two Neighbour communities of Ogbema Amalem.

Apostle Numbere has also recounted his evangelical roles especially in the propagation of the Gospel in Abua land. He pointed out that history which is a reflection of past events, could better illustrate about 30 years ago, when Abua was completely under reproach and his ministry took the bull by the horns in destroying so many shrines and re-awakening of person believed to have mortgaged their souls to ungodly powers.

The clergyman cautioned ministers of the gospel to rekindle their faith in God and to avoid satanic doctrines in their churches especially the application of olive oils and lightening of candles during ministrations and healings. He called on ministers not identify themselves with those attitudes and practices that are not pleasing God and those that not merit God's Judgment.

In his sermon, titled "Choose Whom You Will Serve" Pastor E.G. Amabibi said the Holy Scriptures affirms that God is not respecter of any person, stressing that he who humbles himself must be exalted, but he who exalts himself must be debased.

Pastor Amabibi further emphasized that Christians should lay aside lusts of the flesh and dwell in the household of God in order to attract God's divine blessings.
Apostle G.D. Numbere paid a courtesy call to King Kaleh Obuge, the Oda-Abua Kingdom and described the Supreme Court judgment on him as a clear manifestation of God's will.
The "CAN chairman south-south zone, has requested the king to provide a parcel of land for the building of headquarters church of Greater Evangelism World Crusade in Abua as well a Secondary School that would inculcate spiritual and moral values into the children within and outside the church.

Responding, the Oda-Abua kingdom, King Kalab Obuge thanked Apostle G.A. Numbere, the International Director of Greater Evangelism World Crusade for visiting him in his palace and promised to give special attention to their demands at the appropriate time.
