KADUNA - A member of the Board of Trustees (BOT) of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abubakar Iro Dan-Musa has advised the national leadership of the party to embark on genuine reconciliation of aggrieved members instead of the current 'window dressing" that was going on.

Iro Dan-Musa said that PDP had numerous unsettled disputes which needed to be resolved before the 2007 elections and criticized the frequent arrest and harassment of those alleged to be friends of Vice President Atiku Abubakar by security agents. Speaking in an interview in Kaduna, Alhaji Dan-Musa who was also a former minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja said that the introduction of 'link men" during the last registration exercise created more problems for the party as the method was 'unconventional".

According to him, 'it is not normal" to harass any Nigerian or the Vice President in a democratic setting" adding that 'every law abiding citizen had the right to express his views and pursue his business without molestation from any quarters".

His words; 'What worry some of us are the numerous unsettled disputes within the party and the need for decisive reconciliation. There is also the need for openness within the party.
