GOVERNOR Bola Tinubu of Lagos State yesterday gave the Management of Bojswani Brothers Limited, an Indian firm, one week to furnish his office with all contractual agreements between it and the Lagos State Government in 1999 on the establishment of Eko Transport Service Company or have its premises sealed up.
He also threatened to invite the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the circumstances leading to the setting up of the outfit and the supply and maintenance of Tricycles deal in the state alleged to have been shrouded in secrecy.
The deal was sealed by his immediate predecessor, Col Buba Marwa, now a retired Brigadier General and an Indian company, Bojswani Brothers Limited on May 28, 1999, a day before he handed over to Governor Tinubu.
The governor accused the company of foot-dragging in presenting the necessary documents with detailed terms and conditions of the contract.
Governor Tinubu who paid an unscheduled visit to Eko Transport Services Company and TaTa Vehicle Assembly Plant behind the Lagos State Transport Management Authority (LASTMA) Oshodi, asking questions from the Group General Manager of Bojswani, Mr. Khrishna Kumar, demanded that his office be furnished with all documents detailing the transactions within one week.
His words: 'I want to see all documents relating to the contract within one week or I will get a court order to seal up this place. This is an agreement shrouded in secrecy, and we might have to invite the EFCC to look into it."
