Three armed robbery suspects among them a Fulani man have been arrested by the police in Anambra State over the attack last week on the transition committee Chairman of Aghamelum Local Government, Sir Udorji Amedu.

Sir Amedu was attacked with his driver by a gang of armed robbers Tuesday, last week along Otuocha-Anaku-Omor Road on his way back from office .
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr Kolapo Shofoluwe who confirmed the attack and arrest of the suspects to Daily Sun, Tuesday, Amedu who was sitting on the passenger's seat was hit on the shoulder by the bullet from shots fired at him by the robbers.
Shofoluwe noted that some pillets were extracted from his right hand, adding that the chairman had since left the hospital.
He stated that a couple driving in a Mitsubishi bus was also attacked by the same gang shortly after Amedu's escape.
The police image maker also said that the Fulani man arrested is a member of the gang, adding that the other two are assessories, who are all co-operating with police with useful information about the gang.
He assured users of the road that the command has made adequate arrangement for their safety as it has increased patrol team on the road, adding that everything is being done to arrest the fleeing members of the killer gang.
