Three airlines in joint venture talks

Indications emerged on Sunday that the management of Fresh Airlines, Trans Saharan Airlines and a foreign-based airline have commenced preliminary talks on a joint ventures.

This is coming shortly after NICON Airways announced the acquisition of EAS airlines.

According to sources close to Fresh Air, the airline has commenced talks with Trans Saharan airline in an agreement that would be a joint venture.

Although, they are yet to conclude the form it will take, the source also disclosed that the airline was also talking to a foreign airline with connections in South Africa, United State and the Middle East.

The Managing Director of Fresh Air, Mr. Amos Akpan, in a telephone interview with our correspondent on Sunday confirmed the development.

He explained that the foreign airline was a consortium of airlines with affiliations in these countries.

'We are still talking and have not concluded our arrangement. It is going to be joint a venture. But merger might be considered later," he said.
