The Rivers State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has expressed satisfaction with Elf Petroleum Nigeria Limited (EPNL) for identifying with its programme.
The state chairman of the NUJ, Mr. Benneth Kalio stated this while receiving two units of out-door air-conditioners donated to the council by EPNL.
He remarked that the company had been supportive of the council, and noted that ten years ago EPNL donated 200 chairs to the council.
The Rivers NUJ boss thanked the company for the gesture and urged other corporate organisations in the state to borrow a leaf from the EPNL.
He assured EPNL of adequate coverage of its programme and activities by journalists in the state and expressed the hope that the cordial relationship existing between the company and the council would be sustained.
Earlier, the media relations manager of Elf Petroleum Nigeria Limited, Mr. Fred Ohwahwa while presenting the items said the gesture was in appreciation of the publicity that the company had enjoyed from journalists in the state.
He assured that EPNL would continue to identify with the programmes and activities of the Rivers NUJ and described EPNL and NUJ as partners in progress.
