A banker working with a branch of a new generation financial house in Jos who had been having illicit love affair with a married woman narrowly escaped being butchered by the lady's husband who caught them stark naked in their bedroom.

The banker simply identified as Chukwudi who had been dating the lady, identified as Mrs. Obum, for some time last weekend fell into a trap set by Mrs. Obums husband who had been getting information about his wife's alleged amorous affair.

According to information gathered by Saturday Sun, the husband, Obum (not full names) a spare part dealer had told his wife he was going out of town that fateful day.
Mrs. Obum, mother of a two-year-old child thought she could have a field day during her husband's absence and had even gone out with her lover only to return with him to their matrimonial home at Rayfield, Jos.

It was gathered that Mr. Obum got back home at about mid-night and on seeing his wife's lover's car parked in front of their house had gone to get a cutlass ready to deal with the man.
He sneaked into his bedroom, only to meet Chukwudi and his wife on the bed stark naked. As he was about to give the lover a machete cut on the back, his wife who saw him first, put her hand to shield him and received a cut on the palm.

She then began to struggle with her husband, giving Chukwudi the opportunity to escape.
Chukwudi ran out of the house naked leaving his clothes and car behind and to ensure he does not come back for the clothes Mr. Obum soaked them in water.
After escaping from the Obums, Saturday Sun learnt that the banker went into the neighbourhood to beg for some clothes to cover his nakedness, and upon securing one, he went to an Army Barracks at Anglo Jos to report that he was attacked and his car stolen from him.

He allegedly told the soldiers that he knows where the car was taken to and would need the services of soldiers to recover it. The camp commander reportedly told him it was the duty of the police to handle the matter and asked him to go and report at the police station. But unknown to the commander, some of his soldiers went behind him and followed the randy banker to the Obum's where they discovered that Mr. Obum had removed certain vital components from the car, making it immovable
The soldiers allegedly went into the house, brought out Obum and started beating him while calling him a thief.
They asked him to reconnect the wires in the car, which he refused, trying to explain what happened to the angry soldiers.
The situation was saved by one of his neighbours who saw what was happening and called in the police.

Policemen from the Anglo Jos Police Station had immediately arrived at the scene and Saturday Sun learnt that the case has been transferred to the State Command and when contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Isa said the case is still being investaged. He said the matter would soon be charged to court. Meanwhile, the parties have been released on bail.
