The Lagos State Police Command has declared wanted the proprietor of Page Bar and Lounge, Christopher Nnanna, in connection with the recovery of five stolen vehicles in his compound.

Investigations showed that the trail of a snatched exotic vehicle with a computer tracking device on Thursday by anti-robbery operatives from Victoria Island Division to the house of the suspect on Plot 14, Sunflower Street, M.K.O. Garden, Ikeja, led to the recovery of four other vehicles parked at an underground garage of the building.

According to findings, the vehicle, a Volkswagen Taureg Jeep marked Abuja DM 319 ABJ and registered with Xnet Security Technology, Amuwo-Odofin Industrial Estate, Lagos was snatched at gunpoint on June 21, 2006 on Victoria Island.

When the police trailed the stolen vehicle, which has an inbuilt tracking device, the system directed the operatives to M.K.O. Garden. Every home within the estate was combed, a police source said, until the device referred the operatives to Nnanna's house. The suspect is the owner of Page Bar and Lounge behind Sheraton Hotels and Towers, Opebi, Lagos.

It was learnt that when the operatives got to his house, the device indicated that they were on top of the vehicle. The suspect's wife, Angela Nnanna, sources said, rebuffed the policemen when she was asked to open the gate.

The Lagos State Police Command spokesman, Olubode Ojajuni, confirmed the arrest of the suspect's wife, who is currently detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos. The police are still on the trail of the suspect, it was learnt.

Ojajuni added that the Police Commissioner, Emmanuel Adebayo, has deployed armed mobile policemen to seal off the nightclub where a number of other jeeps suspected stolen were also found.
