Motorists on Lagos roads fought a hard battle with flood Tuesday as a heavy rain kept the roads awash for hours.
It was like the aftermath of a Tsunami as several accidents were recorded and many vehicles grounded on the water logged roads.
The chaos and commotion caused by the downpour was most noticeable on the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway and the Kirikiri area, which were submerged. Commuters were stranded as traffic came to a standstill.
'I was all the way praying for God to see my car through the flood," a motorist told Daily Sun, as another told how his car was bashed on both sides and he in turn bashed a car and everybody took the accidents in good faith.
The rain also brought a lull in the business of motor dealers at the Berger area that had been sacked by the flood which also displaced some Lagosians from their homes.
