The woman, who is seeking the dissolution of their marriage, described her husband as somebody who would do anything on earth to satisfy his quest for wealth.
Giving evidence-in-chief on a petition she filed against her spouse before the court, Bimpe cleared allegations levelled against her brother that he (the governor) was responsible for the collapse of their marriage.
According to her, it is her husband who destroyed their union through his love for fetish and occultic practices, which he introduced to their home.
She told the trial Judge, Justice A. O. Opesanwo, that her husband, prior to the collapse of their marriage was a loving man but things went awry when he (Dapo) started the use of diabolical methods, charms to get at her and Governor Fayose.
"My Lord, my brother has no hand in the collapse of our marriage but the marriage broke down through illegal activities of my husband," she said.
She added: "My husband is so irresponsible to the extent that he went into occultism which led to the eventual collapse of our marriage. He even went to the extent of using it on my brother."
Bimpe added: "The past three years have been hell on earth for me. He almost snuffed life out of me but for God who stood by me."
Cross-examined by her lawyer, Wahab Shittu, Bimpe said that the bubble burst when she caught her husband red-handed in their house in October 2005 engaging in occultic practices and with various types of charms.
She claimed that her husband cajoled her to take the children for a two-week holiday in the United Kingdom not knowing it was a ploy for him to have access to Fayose, armed with his diabolical activities.
She told the court that Dapo's ploy worked out because when she eventually returned to the country, she encountered a negative disposition from her brother (Fayose) who refused bluntly to have anything to do with her again.
She said: "My lord, before my return from U.K my husband had virtually shifted his base in Lagos to the Government House Ado-Ekiti where he was busy manipulating my brother to suit his aspirations at my own peril.
"He virtually upturned everything between my brother and me. He told series of lies against me using his occultic activities and using me in a spiritual realm through a snake," she told the court.
"Each time, I always see snake coiling around me. I was completely hypnotised by my husband before I was able to regain my senses," she added.
Recalling their beginning in 1991, Bimpe said she met her husband as "an unemployed man with no hope for the future."
She added: "I am an established well-to-do woman when we contracted our marriage in Ibadan and ever since, I have been responsible to him and his entire family. We have four children, my husband had never bought a handkerchief for them. Everything including feeding, school fees and other expenses had always been shouldered by me over the years."
"I have been manager of my home and business in the past three years.
I breathed life into my husband and his entire family. I had 20 cars when we met. I bought three cars for him and one for his father. I brought goodies into their life. Unfortunately, my husband is an ungrateful element. Rather, he has turned himself into a demon," she said.
In her petition, she urged the court to dissolve their marriage because it has broken down irretrievably, adding that it is absolutely impossible to live with the respondent as husband and she no longer has any love or affection for the respondent.
She averred that her life and general security are threatened by the continued existence of the marriage, saying that the respondent had on several occasions unleashed unprecedented violence and assault on her.
The petitioner sought the order of the court to grant her the custody of children of the marriage and also for the court to direct the respondent to pay N100,000 monthly allowance to her for the upkeep of the children.
Further hearing on the case has been fixed for July 3, 2006.
