Two love birds, who not only shared affection but also evil acts, have finally met their waterloo, having been nabbed by operatives of Ogun State Police Command.

Daily Sun gathered that 26-year-old Sekinat Adesola and her boyfriend, Sunday Chioma, had, for four years, been living on proceeds from armed robbery, with the latter providing necessary information before robbery operations took place.

The couple, along with others, were arrested at Sango-Ota, while robbing Progress Sea Food, located along the popular Abeokuta-Lagos Road.

Ogun State Police Commisisoner, Mr. Joseph Apapa, said the suspected robbers comprised six daredevils, who operated at Iperu, Sango Ota, Abeokuta and Ijebu-Igbo.
Speaking with Daily Sun, Sunday, who regretted his action, said he was forced into the illicit trade by circumstances, promising not to go back if he regains freedom.

'I now regret my involvement in robbery. Initially, when I was introduced into it, I was enjoying it, but now, I no longer enjoy it, hence my prayer is that after the last outing, I would quit the gang. Here I am in police net. How will I get out of here?"
The CP said that items recovered form the hoodlums included two locally-made pistols, four live cartridges, one Nissan Sunny car, with registration number, BW 335KJA and an unregistered Faragon bus.

In a similar development, another gang of armed robbers, who invaded the Agbonmagbe Hotel, Iperu, have been arrested. Apapa said the robbers came to the hotel on a motorcycle and robbed a caterer.
'But when alarm about the robbery was raised, one of the two robbers escaped, while the other was instantly arrested". He also stated that the second suspect and a man who sold guns to the robbers were later arrested with the assistance of the residents of Iperu.
Four men and a woman, who specialised in re-mixing cement with sand, were also paraded while items recovered from them included 77 bags of adulterated cement, 55 bags of cement, 60 bags of sand, six funnels.
