Nigeria soccer ambassador, Friday Nwankwo Kuja, has debunked the news that Okocha was making arrangements to move to Qatar.
Speaking to Daily Sunsport, Kuja, who is a confidant of Okocha said the former Super Eagles captain may likely remain in the Premiership, stressing that he is taking his time before he puts pen to paper for any club.
According to him, Okocha resolved to stay in England comes from the fact that he wants his children to be a little more mature before he leaves for Qatar, where he will eventually end his career.
He further said Bolton were not known, if not for Okocha joining the team and we should not forget they were able to qualify for Europe with Okocha joining them, and they have attracted a lot of fans.
"Okocha is like an apple of God's eye and any where he goes, there is always a lift for the club. He went to Fernabhce of Turkey, the club became a force to reckon with in Eastern Europe, Okocha has the Midas touch.'
"Nigerian should treat Okocha as national hero like they are doing to players like Roger Mila of Cameroon, Abedi Pele of Ghana and George Opong Weah of Liberia.
