Super Eagles midfielder, Wilson Oruma, has landed in fresh trouble as the Ligue de Football Professionnel (LFP), the French football disciplinary commission confirmed his suspension with another Olympique Marseille player, Abdoulaye Meite from the opening game of the 2006-07 season.
The Ivorien was sent off recently during a league game as Oruma received his third yellow card in less than 10 games against Bordeaux on the final day of the season.
Marseille officials are not happy to miss the two players in the team's line up next season.
But it is not certain if Meite would resume with Marseille next season as he had made up his mind to quit the French league for the Premiership.
Meite had declared he would quit the French club in the summer, with Middlesbrough in the hunt for his signature.
Bolton are also said to be keen on the Ivorian, who said he would prefer a switch to England in the summer.
Meite told journalists that his match against Bordeaux would be his last match.
"It is true my preference is to go to England, but there is also Italy and Germany," Meite was quoted by OM website.
Meanwhile, Marseille are expected to be back to work on June 29, during the FIFA World Cup. The situation which may exclude some players on duty for their countries in Germany.
The pre-season planning is underway, although all still demands on whether or not Marseille compete in the Intertoto Cup.
Also, Djibril Cisse had revealed he would be tempted to leave Liverpool this summer if Marseille renew their interest in signing him.
The France striker was close to joining the Mediterranean giants in January, only for Liverpool to have a last-minute change of heart about the deal.
Cisse enjoyed the best spell of his Reds career in the second half of last season and it is thought manager Rafael Benitez is keen to hang on to him, but if the right offer is received from Marseille the 24-year-old is prepared to head back to France.
