Soboma George, close associate of Ateke Tom, the Vigilante leader appears to be very angry with his master, according to feelers being received.
Out sources say George feels betrayed by his boss whom he has reason to suspect is part of the conspiracy to rail him in.
Soboma, feared and dreaded in the cult world had reportedly turned himself in after weeks of hiding.
Within cult circles, the story is that Ateke probably acting surreptitiously with the police may have been persuaded to give up himself, perhaps on the false hope a deal could be arranged for his release.
Ever since, Soboma has been under lock and key, with speculations suggesting he'd probably not get out free.'
The Telegraph which has been on the trail of the story can report authoritatively that Soboma currently has the Saddam look - haggard and disheveled appearance accentuated by overgrown beards - in the State CID where he is now being held after the police in Abuja finished with him.
A couple of days ago, police vehicles appeared at his Bende Street residence and literarily carted away all his belongings.
There is even a rumour that his wife may have been arrested, but this publication has not been able to confirm the authenticity of the claim.
However, our findings indicate it is not the police in Port Harcourt that ordered the impounding of his belongings.
Police sources point in the direction of Force Headquarters.
So pained by the treatment he has so far received, Soboma is believed to have vowed to take out Ateke if he ever gets his freedom back.
In the interim, he said to be dead serious about telling the police what it knows.
Already, there are reports about Ateke's supposed arrest, with a newspaper report heightening the tale.
There is no clue Ateke who had his traditional wedding at Okrika last week in full public glare was ever arrested.
A top council official reached said he was unaware of his arrest, saying except the police however, did so last night.
Many in Okrika also allege they sighted the Vigilante leader in the community early in the week, stressing they were surprised by the report.
The Telegraph Tuesday night repeatedly called Ateke's number but a voice at MTN's control said his phone was not available.
In the meantime, investigations into the death of citizen Fiberesima continues.
Although about five persons were shipped out for further interrogations in Abuja, police sources here say only Soboma and two others returned.
What has become of the remaining who are yet to return to police cell in Port Harcourt is anyone's guess now.
Perhaps, a few here read Soboma's return to cell in Port Harcourt as evidence that he would soon gain his freedom.
For this class, some powerful interests might be pressing bottons to ensure no harm comes his way.
Soboma and his associates had been declared wanted by the police over their alleged role in the murder of one Fiberesima.
The brutal murder which nearly succeeded in sending wrong signals after cultists had reached agreements with government, came as a shock to most residents.
In the last months, peace has genuinely returned to the once troubled Rivers State, with people going about their normal businesses.
