The players, we gathered on authority, have told their chief coach, Austin Eguavoen and one aide to the minister of sports that the removal of Sunmonu Bello Osagie as the coordinator of the Super Eagles was not in the best interest of the team
Daily Sunsport gathered that the players want a reversal of the appointment before their next match either friendly or competitive otherwise they would not honor, the match.
According to our source, the players were shocked when they had that SBO as Sunmonu is popularly called was dropped from the team, adding that the man was wonderful in the discharge of his duties in Egypt during the Nations Cup.
The players, we gathered, are also worried that the new coordinator might not relate as peers with them the way they do with SBO because they are all youth and share a lot of things in common.
'We are of the view that the new coordinator who played football before some of us were born would want to lord over us . We don't want someone whom we cannot relate with well. We intend to make our position known to the minister of sports and get the right man to coordinate the camp," the players were quoted as saying.
It would be recalled that Fanny Amun recently announced a list of national team coaches and coordinators dropping Sunmonu Bello Osagie from the Super Eagles.
