A hairdresser in Ondo State, Miss Yemi Agbede has been found murdered by suspected ritualists. Fueling the suspicion of ritual killing were cuts and missing parts on her body. The lady was killed few weeks after her well-equipped saloon was broken into by hoodlums, who carted away five hair dryers and other equipment.
Yemi's father, Chief Olubola Agbede, however, wants the police to quiz his daughter's boyfriend, who allegedly came to pick her from home on the day of the incident.
Detectives were trying to link the murder to the raid on Yemi's shop, which they were investigating when the killers struck.
Reports say Yemi's boyfriend had come to her early on the fateful day to know how far the police had gone with their investigations into the robbery. Then he left with the lady for an unknown place.
The boyfriend had allegedly assisted the police to arrest some suspects in connection with the robbery before the hairdresser was murdered.
When Yemi was not seen at home, a search party had gone out to check the homes of some of her boyfriends including the one that came to take her from home.
The search took two days before Yemi's body was found in a bush covered with a piece of cloth. The corpse was taken to the General Hospital, in Owo and the police were informed about the murder.
The state police spokesman, Mr. Usman Adeniran described the incident as unfortunate. He said some arrests had been made.
