Henry Michel said yesterday that he was not surprised that his team berthed in the final as they did it in style being the only African team going to the final of the World Cup to get this far.
'I have a good team. Right from inception, we set our eyes on a target. The target of winning matches and making steady progress in the competition.
We have moved to the final after a gutsy semi-final against Cameroun. The Cameroun game was better than the one with Nigeria. Nigeria remains a great team and we came out with strategies to counter them. Unfortunately, they did not play well and it affected our game, too.
The game of your opponent automatically rubs off on your team. I have a good, young team. I dont know about the other teams going to the World Cup. We are going to the world cup with a mission and all those who think that we do not deserve to be there, should shut up and swallow their words", he said.
Asked about the final, he said that he would not be in hurry to know who to play.
'I'll go back and watch the game and come out with our strategy. The important thing is that we have gotten this far and there is no looking back. We want the cup to go to the world cup as African champions.
