But he provides the goals for others to score. Today, the West Bromwich player, Nwankwo Kanu remains the most dreaded player in the Super Eagles. Tunisian journalists who have moved over to Port Said where their team would confront the Super Eagles have told everyone that they are afraid of Kanu.

“Kanu is hot. We are afraid of Kanu. He is better”, they said. And yesterday, Coach Austin Eguavoen confessed that the lanky player has remained his joker in the team. “Kanu is a super sub. He watches from the bench and knows exactly what to do. He said that he was not bothered by the talks that Kanu has not scored a goal for himself. “It will be pleasant for him to score a goal but it is better that he works for the entire team. We are happy because he is not a selfish player. And I am banking on him to unsettle the Tunisians when we meet in the quarter final”, Eguavoen said.
