President Olusegun Obasanjo on 3 January said Nigeria would have settled all its outstanding debt to the Paris Club of Creditor Nations by March 2006.

The President stated this when a youth group "Neighbourhood Support for Obasanjo Organisation" visited him at his farm, noting that the historic achievement of securing a huge debt relief for Nigeria and the implementation of a far reaching reform agenda were borne out of his Administration's determination to bequeath a "new Nigeria" to the people of the country, particularly the youths.

"We are determined to move Nigeria to a new way of doing things. We also have to change the current image of Nigeria," he added.

Meanwhile, President Obasanjo has observed that lot of work needed to be done for the country to achieve its full potentials; he however, expressed confidence that the goals of his administration's reform agenda were achievable.

The President made the remark when General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor W. F. Kumuyi called on him, noting that the success of his administration have been backed by the prayers of the nation's spiritual leaders.
