Daily Champion learnt last night that Chief Alamieyeseigha who is being detained in Abuja by the police over the same allegation will face other charges relating to alleged corrupt practices while in government.
The governor was arrested penultimate Friday after he was impeached by members of Bayelsa State House of Assembly over alleged gross misconduct.
Before his impeachment Alamieyeseigha had jumped bail in London where he was standing trial for alleged money laundering to the tune of £1.8 million.
The ex-governor who had pleaded innocence, had challenged his removal from office at the Federal High Court Abuja.
