A cattle rearer in Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State has lost all he had laboured for in a night attack by armed robbers.
Identified as Peter Adigeb, the cattle rearer lost two of his sons in the attack which also left many members of the family severely injured.

Daily Sun learnt that one of the slain sons of the cattle rearer has just passed out of the Federal College of Education, Obudu and was awaiting direct entry admission into the University of Calabar for a degree programme.

Also, the younger brother to the deceased, who was also killed, it was gathered, was in the senior secondary class at the Government Secondary School, Obudu.
The witness said that on the night of the attack, Adigeb, popularly known as "Talk your Own," allegedly had N300,000 in is house, which the robbers were said to have carted away.

It was gathered that the robbers went on the offensive, killing the two brothers, when the cattle rearer who was under severe torture to surrender the available cash in his house to the bandits, decided to call for help.

Apparently touched by the pains and agony which his father was passing through in the hands of the robbers, it was gathered that Mr Silas attempted to dash out of his bedroom to alert people in the neighbourhood, when the robbers pumped bullets into his head.

Few seconds after Silas was killed at the threshhold of his bedroom at the front side of the house it was gathered that there was another gunshot from the backside of the building, as the younger brother who attempted to come out of his own room was also shot dead by the robbers, who had positioned themselves round the building.

When Daily Sun visited the scene of crime, it was deserted while the cattle rearer who was beaten to a coma was said to have been taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
