Newcastle defender, Celestine Babayaro, has been banned for three matches after admitting a charge of violent conduct.
Babayaro, 27, was charged along with Everton midfielder, Tim Cahill, after an incident in Newcastle's 1-0 defeat at Goodison Park on Sunday.
The Football Association charges followed a clash between the two players, which saw them lash out at each.
Cahill haduntil 1800 GMT on Wednesday to respond to his charge, which will otherwise be heard on Thursday.
By admitting the charge, Babayaro is banned immediately, and missed Wednesday evening's Carling Cup tie against Wigan.
Babayaro will also miss Newcastle's home Premiership matches against Aston Villa and Arsenal.
Newcastle striker, Alan Shearer, escaped any action for his elbow on Everton defender David Weir in the same game.
