Members of the Joint Shell Resident Area Landlord Association, comprising Mgbuesilari, Rumuibekwe, Rumukwurusi and other neigbouring communities in Obio/Akpor Local government will on Sunday January 23, 2005 at the Rumuibekwe Town Hall sign and adopt their constitution.

Speaking at the second reading of the constitution last Sunday, the paramount ruler of Mgbuesilari, Eze Ejike Wali stated that the essence of allowing the constitution to pass series of readings was to ensure that there was to allow amendment before final adoption.

Telegraph gathered that one of the articles in the constitution that attracted a heated debt has to do with the actual age or eligibility of those who will be elected to pilot the ship of the association.

Contributing to the debate, a councilor in the Obio/Akpor Legislative Assembly representing Ward 6 in the area, Hon. Cyprian Elewa suggested that the age of the contestants for the forth coming election should be raised from 30-35 for some of the key positions.

On his part the secretary of the association Dr. Stanley Amadi maintained that the normal age for those seeking election as principal officers had been 30 years, adding that, wisdom has nothing to do with age.

Votes were later cast with 30 years and above approved for those seeking election into any of the association's offices
