DETAINED leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF) and the Niger Delta People Salvation Front (NDPSF), Alhaji Mujaheed Dokubo-Asari has blamed Dr Beko Ransome-Kuti for his arrest.
DETAINED leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF) and the Niger Delta People Salvation Front (NDPSF), Alhaji Mujaheed Dokubo-Asari has blamed Dr Beko Ransome-Kuti for his arrest.
The accusation was contained in a statement title "If PRONACO Fails-Alhaji Mujaheed Dokubo Asari" and e- mailed to our correspondent.
Dokubo-Asari alleged that his "arrest was part of a manipulative plot orchestrated by the Beko's faction to have me out of the way".
According to the letter, "it is now fully confirmed that the Beko's group has been working fully with General Obasanjo. They had told General Obasanjo that if I was not arrested they will not be able to destabilise PRONACO."
He alleged that Beko, Ambassador Otunla and Bolaji Rosaji are the arrowheads of the Obasanjo assault on PRONACO.
Dokubo-Asari warned that nobody should insult or attempt to defame Pa Anthony Enahoro as NDPVF, NDPSF and all Ijaws are solidly behind him.
The embattled militant leader also alleged that while the Beko faction continues to cry out for lack of funds, they now flaunt new cars, organise section/rallies and disburse such dubious money to participants.
He also warned that Beko and his pack of parochial fifth columnists should stay away from the Niger Delta or face the wrath of the people.
The Ijaws and Niger Delta people, Dokubo-Asari stated, shall match towards freedom and liberation with or without PRONACO.
Dokubo-Asari explained that the decision to partner in the PRONACO initiative shows their belief in dialogue and a willingness to negotiate their sovereignty on a fair roundtable.
He condemned the decision of the Nigerian state to clamp down on those seeking self determination of their people and described it as a huge mistake which cannot be corrected in a very long time.
Dokubo-Asari declared that Niger Delta people will not allow any one to toy with their present zeal as their self determination is non-negotiable.
