EFCC is selective in prosecution

I use this medium to challenge Mr. Nuhu Ribadu, the boss of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, to prove his critics wrong by arresting those who are perceived to be corrupt by members of the public, but who have so far escaped arrest because they are close to the seat of power.

Considering the media publicity that regularly attends the trial of those who are not in the good books of the powers that be, history may be harsh on Ribadu in the long run, except he does the right thing by bringing to justice all those that have contributed to the nation's economic woes by looting public funds.

What, for instance, is the outcome of the EFCC's investigations into the dirty deals at the Nigerian Ports Authority?

And if Ribadu feels that he has no freedom to prosecute those his Commission has investigated and found guilty of misappropriating public funds, then the path of honour is for him to resign, before he is perceived as this administration's errand boy.
