Mid last year Okija community in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State acquired world tourist attraction status following the discovery and subsequent destruction by the police of a shrine there (Ogwugwu Akpu) where tens and hundreds of human skulls and bodies at various level of decomposition were found.

Only recently, an Anglican Evangelist, Prince Ephraim Ononye of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Umuoma Uli, Anambra State dared Ogwugwu Ndorohia, another deadly shrine in Uli, in the same Ihiala LGA, and his unilateral adventure yielded positive result as priest of the deadly shrine has surrendered to Jesus along with his instruments of devilish acts.

They said the deity would come in the nature of a beast (leopard) which would only be seen by its target and it would claw the priest or the cleric to death in vegeance for an acclaimed desecration of its holy place.
Evangelist Ononye, aka High Tension Corner and God's Battle Axe said he approached the priest of the deity who initially put up resistance to drop his worship of the man-made god, but owned up later after intercession.
"When I called the God of Elijah to send down fire something began to happen. He submitted to the word of God and he is now a new creature", Evang Ononye said in reference to the priest. He told Saturday Sun that physical devastation of these shrines is not enough but the spiritual destruction.

"Okija shrine (Ogwugwu) has been destroyed but the spirit of the deity still hovers. The entire place needs spiritual cleansing otherwise before you know it the whole thing will come back to square one", the Anglican priest remarked.

March this year, High Tension Corner on invitation went for a kindred ministration at Obodoawo village to restore the idols said to have been destroyed by the Evangelist or be sacked from the village. Of course, Obodoawo was sacked.
Over eight houses were burnt down by masquerades said to have come from all the communities that make up Ihiala Local Government Council. Some of the victims are still living in exile, although, Saturday Sun gathered that the Anglican Church, Uli quartered some of them and provided them with relief materials.
