This is coming about one week after Victoria said she has been married to the late Capt. Imasuen for 14 years, during which period they had six children, the eldest being 14 years old.
But the late Capt. Imasuen's mother debunked Victoria's story, saying that the woman was never married to her late son, but a live-in lover and has no child for him.
Madam Edafe revealed that her late son married former Miss Florence Iriabe and wedded her at the Holy Cross Catholic Cathedral, Benin in 1982. She said that Florence, who died 10 years ago, was still married to Capt. Imasuen when Victoria became the late captain's concubine.
The 80-year-old woman said that her late son later converted to Islam and married four other wives, whose names she gave as Mrs. Oghogho Imasuen, Mrs. Ego Imasuen, Mrs. Bola Imasuen and Mrs Ngozi Imasuen, revealing that all the five wives had six children for her late son, with Mrs. Ngozi Imasuen giving birth to the only son the late captain had.
Madam Edafe revealed that the six children Victoria claimed to have were for her former husband, who died in the Air Force Hercules C130 that crashed at Ejigbo in 1992.
Capt. Imasuen's younger sister, Omonigho, who corroborated her mother's story, told Daily Sun that Victoria allegedly broke into Capt. Imasuen's room in Lagos and removed the keys to his car which he had parked at the Murtala Muhammed Airport in Lagos, with a view to removing the car. She said the attempt was aborted by the Deputy Commissioner of Police at the Airport, Mr. Edokpolor, adding that the car was still at the airport.
Meanwhile, Capt. Imasuen's mother has advised the management of Bellview that whatever compensation due the late captain should be paid to his first daughter, Uwa and other children he left behind.
