For refusing to end his sexual escapade with a widow 10 years after her husband's death, a middle-aged man has paid dearly with his life. Samuel Onyeigue, the lover boy was matched to death by the widow's 18 years-old son, while the two love birds were having hot sex inside the widow's bedroom, with the knowledge of her children who occupied and adjacent room.
The incident, which happened at Elibrada in Emohua LGA, Rivers State has sent the community scampering for safety as law enforcement agents have swarmed on the area.
Community source told Saturday Sun that late Onyeigue had moved in to fill the conjugal need of the woman shortly after her husband's death and buried, a development that was disapproved by the widow's children.
The source said that the children of late Osumiri had severally warned Onyeigue to stay off their mother especially the habit of sneaking in at night to have a sex romp with her, but the succulent flesh of the widow was too sweet for him to resist.
The assailant, before he snuffed life out of Onyeigue on the fateful day was quoted to have vowed that he would not be alive to see the man take-over his late father's property even though their mother was reportedly head over heel in love with him (late Onyeigue).
According to the source, on the fateful day, the widow's children reportedly went to his farm to dig out 10 tubers of yam without his knowledge. But the deceased was said to have kept his cool believing that the children where his own.
Saturday Sun learnt that later in the night at about 12 midnight late Onyeigue came to the widow's house and as usual the woman let him in and immediately, they went into romance.
But unknown to the two love birds, the widow's son, Umesor was hiding within, and as they undressed, the young man struck, cutting Onyeigue into several pieces. The widow and mother of the assailant were said to have fled.
When Saturday Sun visited the house, Onyeigue's pool of blood was yet to dry, while the assailant was said to have been arrested by the police in Rumuiji Division.
Paramount ruler of the community, Eze Owhorgbo Weli told Saturday Sun that Umesor's action was abominable even as what was left of Onyeigue had been deposited at Emohua General Hospital. Police in Port Harcourt confirmed the incident.
