The elegant Mrs. Amina Oumar excited her husband when she stepped out of their Abuja home, penultimate Friday, on her way to the ECOWAS Trade Fair in Lagos. She was the only female among five staff of the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), headquarters, Abuja, who went to the trade fair but failed to returned home. They died in Flight 210 crash.
The husband, Mohammed, was impressed by his wife's appearance that he momentarily stopped her. He did not stop her from proceeding on the journey to Lagos but to take a snapshot of his heartthrob. He took the picture out of admiration but, unknown to him, it was to be a farewell occasion to end their marriage of 19 years.
Amina was described as a "very caring woman who carried on her roles as a working class woman with diligence", providing a comfortable home for her husband and children while excelling in her official duties at the CAC where she was a computer specialist.
