In an address delivered at the inauguration ceremony for co-ordinators of Orji Uzor Kalu Presidential Campaign Organisation for all the 21 local government areas of Kogi State, the State Co-ordinator, Engineer Mohammed Haseed Ajanah said Governor Kalu is a symbol of generational change, which Nigerians have been yearning for.
He said the time has come for Nigerians to take their destinies in their hands, electing a dynamic young man like Kalu who has recorded tremendous success in both the private and public sectors.
According to the state co-ordinator, there was nobody more qualified than Governor Kalu to be president come 2007 because of his political antecedent as a two-time governor and a man known to be honest, patriotic, courageous and bold.
Engineer Ajanah said that the Orji Uzor Kalu Campaign Organisation believes that power can only be determined by popular means, which made Kalu to seek to run for the presidency, "because it is the Nigerian masses that are bringing him to contest."
While inaugurating the Local Government chapter of the campaign organisation, he urged the co-ordinators to henceforth move through the nooks and crannies of their respective local governments to preach the gospel of generational change.
