Senator Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa has faulted Chief Bisi Akande over his (Akande's) claim to the leadership of the Alliance for Democracy.
Senator Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa has faulted Chief Bisi Akande over his (Akande's) claim to the leadership of the Alliance for Democracy.
Speaking on behalf of Akinfenwa, Mr. Rafiu Salawu said that the Independent National Electoral Commission had not acknowledged the claim.
Speaking with newsmen in Lagos on Wednesday on the state of the party, Salawu chided Akande, the immediate past governor of Osun State, for having flouted numerous court orders asking the party to maintain status quo on the issue of leadership of the party.
Salawu praised INEC for the non-partisan manner it had handled the crisis within the party, Salawu, said the letter Akinfenwa wrote to the the commissions Chairman, Prof. Maurice Iwu, 'has cogent reasons and precise facts."
Salawu said that the initial disposition of INEC under the leadership of Dr. Abel Guobadia to accord Akande recognition as the National Chairman of the party did not in anyway confer recognition on him.
