Its National Publicity Secretary, Mr. John Odey, who disclosed this weekend in a statement, warned that security agents would arrest and prosecute those found in possession of the fake cards.
He therefore advised memb ers of the party to insist on genuine cards during revalidation of their membership or while registering as fresh members.
According to him, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the PDP, at the end of its 103rd meeting in Abuja where it considered reports from the states on the revalidation and registration exercise admitted that the party's cards were being faked by some persons.
Odey warned that those behind the illegal practice would be arrested and prosecuted.
He said the party's NWC is aware of the fake membership cards in circulation and "we hereby advice members to be informed and ensure that they get registered with the authentic register through the linkmen and the co-ordinators appointed by the National Secretariat."
