The Governor who was represented at the occasion by the State Commissioner for Information. Hon Magnus Abe, said that unless they remain focused in their academic pursuits; the future would be bleak for them, adding that they are the most important persons that would decide their own future.
He assumed them that the state government would continue to support all the activities involving NURSS and made a donation of N1 million to the union at the occasion
Earlier, in his speech, the National President of NURSS, Gbarato Baridakara, appealed to the state government to release more funds to the union to help them acquire a Cyber Café, which he deemed vital.
