The Imo State director of the State Security Service (SSS), Mr. Alex Amaechina, has been redeployed to the SSS headquarters Abuja.

This is coming few days after the leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, alleged that he demanded N5 million bribe from him.
Daily Sun gathered that Mr. Amaechina last Tuesday handed over to a new helmsman and may likely face a panel of enquiry set up by the SSS authorities.
It would be recalled that Uwazuruike, at a press conference on August 29, told journalists that the SSS director demanded N5 million bribe from him to stop incessant raids on the MASSOB headquarters, Okwe in Onuimo Local Government Area, Imo State.
But, in swift reaction, the SSS director denied the allegations, describing Uwazuruike as a bloody liar. He denied meeting with Uwazuruike anywhere in the country. However, counsel to the MASSOB leader, Chief Mike Ahamba (SAN), told journalists that both SSS director and Uwazuruike held meeting in his house at the instance of the SSS director.
