These are the only bodies that have been seen, but local sources claim that more may have died in the fighting which took every one, including security personnel by surprise.
Fighting had resumed between the two brotherly sides early this month. When the police arrived the seen on the 7th of this month four corpses lay dead on the ground.
All the evidence point in the direction of the lingering crisis that has visited Kaani-on-Kaani violence on both sides.
Our information is that the police has deployed a detachment of mobile policemen who have succeeded in bring the tension in the area under control.
All efforts thus far have failed to rekindle the spirit of oneness which existed once.
As a result, Kaani I and II continue to record losses of lives and property, with seeds of discord continually sown in the hearts of youths of the two sides.
When the Kaani debacle would end remains unclear.
In the meantime, the police has appealed to members of the public to resort to dialogue and civilized behaviour in settling differences, especially at the community level.
