Though nobody has been arrested in connection with the crime, sources said the robbers who were eight in number allegedly boarded the vehicle from Maza Maza while pretending to be passengers.
The source said the armed bandits later highjacked the vehicle and took it to Epe, area of Lagos where they allegedly dispossed passengers of their belongings.
Police authority in Lagos who confirmed the incident, however, said no life was lost while efforts are on to arrest the culprints.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Deputy Superintendent of Police, (DSP) Olubode Ojajuni told THISDAY on phone last night that Area Commanders and their respective Divisional Police Officer (DPOs) have been directed to commence manhunt for the bandits.
