Feelers from the PDP headquarters indicate that the pro-Obasanjo forces will be pushing for the sanction of Vice-President Atiku, while the group loyal to the Vice President will resist this.

At the time of this report, some governors were meeting to find a way out of the problem between the President and the VP before the NEC commences today. No fewer than 13 governors were had arrived Abuja yesterday.
Although party officials kept the agenda of today's meeting close to their chests, it was learnt that part of the issues to be discussed will include altercation between the President and the VP.
Other issue, which may likely feature at today's meeting include Governor Orji Uzor Kalu's letter to President Obasanjo where he accused the president of corruption. Also, NEC may fix a date for the party's national convention as well as state and ward congresses. The meeting will also approve the new party register and membership cards as well as receive and take a decision on report of the Chief Tony Anenih committee on allegations of money laundering leveled against Plateau State governor, Chief Joshua Chibi Dariye.
