The Angola Football Federation has boasted that nothing can stop the Palanca Negras from beating Rwanda in their backyard in October to ensure their qualification for next year's World Cup finals in Germany.
But they are surprised that they are on the brink of playing at the World Cup finals as they never set out to qualify for the finals from the onset.
Angola remain favourites to beat the Super Eagles of Nigeria to the sole qualifying ticket to the World Cup finals in Germany, after beating Gabon 3-0 in Luanda at the weekend.
To guarantee their place, Angolan Football Federation (AFF) are mobilising all resources to ensure the fall of Rwanda in the last match in October.
Speaking on BBC's Fast Track, the Vice-President of AFF, Antonia Maguera, dismissed the challenge likely to be posed by Rwanda, who have nothing at stake but pride in the last match after they suffered an embarrassing 3-1 loss to Zimbabwe at the weekend.
'We are playing to win and victory would not elude us because qualifying for the World Cup would change a lot of things for our football. We know we need to beat Rwanda to get to Germany and there is no way we are not going to get those three points going by the massive mobilisation which has gone into this campaign.
'We know the Nigerians are likely to beat Zimbabwe but that would not stop us from qualifying for the World Cup because we are also going to beat Rwanda in their country. The government is seriously supporting this project and it is almost a reality time for us", added the confident football chief.
He however conceded that they never dreamt of qualifying for the World Cup finals in Germany at the onset but that since the Nigerians gifted them the World Cup place 'we'll not refuse the gift." World Cup in Germany was not something we set out to achieve in a group that has Nigeria. It's a surprise to us but we cannot refuse the offer since we are now dictating the pace. We are going to utilise this advantage to the fullest", said Maguera.
