In the determination to make its services the pride of GSM consumers, the management of Nigerian Mobile Telecommunications Limited (Mtel) has introduced Power Talk, a new product that makes call tariff pocket friendly.

Power Talk is a prepaid product that enables Mtel subscribers who make large volume calls to enjoy reduced call tariffs. Apart from individuals and corporate bodies who make large volume calls, telephone call operators would also find the Power Talk product an irresistible companion for attractive turnover.
The new product has been introduced in two packages of N4000 and N2000 connection prices. Each of this Power Talk cards takes the subscriber to a define tariff platform commensurate to the value of the Power Talk card.

For instance, Mtel Power Talk offers subscribers reduced call tariffs as low as 15K per second for subscribers on N2000 card and 25K per second on N4, 000 card for a Mtel to Mtel connection. On the other hand, calls to other networks would be 25K per second on the N2000 Power Talk card and 30K per second on the N4000 Power Talk card.

However, while the N2000 Power Talk card attracts 5 days validity window, the subscriber who prefers the N4000 Power Card would enjoy 30 days validity window. One of the unique features of the Power Talk card is the flat rate on the peak/off peak period on the local calls charges.

Another special features of the Power Talk product is the flexibility it offers subscribers to do virtual migration (via sms) from the account balance where the Power Talk card is not immediately accessible. It means that in addition to the migration to the special tariff platform via the Power Talk card, the subscriber who has enough airtime on his phone can virtually migrate to the special tariff platform by either activating N2000 or N4000 Power Talk from the account balance.

After using the available airtime balance to migrate to the Power Talk platform, the subscriber is expected to have sufficient amount in the account to enjoy the special tariff. This is simply because the Power Talk is not airtime per se but a facilitator to a lower tariff platform.

A subscriber will be unable to migrate from the Mtel Powertalk tariff plans to any other Prepaid tariff plan until the end of the currently loaded Powertalk validity period.

At the expiration of the validity period of the Powertalk card (N2, 000 or N4, 000), the subscriber will automatically be returned to the default Prepaid option: Mtel 'Now Now" per second.

To load Mtel Powertalk card, a subscriber will just dial *122 * add 13 digit value voucher # ok. A successful loading automatically migrates the subscriber to Powertalk tariff plan.

On the sms option for the N2000 platform, activate the sms page type 4022; send to 7979 and for the N4000 platform type 4024; send to 7979. After a successful deduction, the subscriber is automatically migrated to Powertalk tariff plan.
