Controversial John Mikel Obi may well be toying with his future as he has reportedly stopped over in London to confer with his agent after he flew out of Lagos on Monday night.
There are now unconfirmed reports that he may head straight to Portugal to join the Eagles and not return to his Norwegian club Lyn Oslo.
A top official told KICK OFF on Tuesday: 'Mikel has stopped over in London and what we have learnt is that he will from there come down to Portugal.
"He will be in Norway after the Algeria match."
Lyn have been waiting on Mikel and have threatened not to release him for the Algeria match Sunday if he fails to report back to Norway.
Lyn officials have also been quoted as saying they may formally petition Fifa and take the matter to court.
Mikel is in London in company of Flying Eagles mate Chinedu Ogbuke.
